Adecco is currently seeking a full-time Junior Accountant for a leading manufacturer specializing in retail merchandising solutions in Port Coquitlam, BC. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Junior Accountant will perform various clerical and routine accounting tasks to support the Finance Department. If you have a minimum of 2 years of BC accounting experience and a strong affinity for numbers, we encourage you to apply now!Pay rate: $65,000 – 70,000/yearLocation: Port Coquitlam, BCShifts: Monday to Friday |8 am - 4:30 pm PST (40 hours)Job type: Full-time | PermanentStart Date: AsapBenefits:Company eventsOn-site parkingPaid time offRRSP MatchingTuition reimbursementCPA membership fee coverageHealth Spending AccountDuties and Responsibilities:General Accounting:Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accountsAssist with initial control evaluationsHandle daily Banking & Reconciling daily cash reportsPost Monthly, Quarterly & Annual accrualsAssist with month end closing procedures Accounts ReceivableMaintain customer credit limitsProcess daily Accounts Receivable receipts and make daily deposits to banksWork with customers to resolve any payment issueUpdate Credit Insurance informationHandle daily InvoicingManage payment Application, including electronic payments, cheques and credit cardsProvide backup for Accounts PayableAccounts PayableHandle weekly cheque runsPerform GL Coding and data entry of invoicesHandle vendor statement reconciliations Perform other assigned duties as requiredRequirements and Qualifications: Minimum 2+ years of British Columbia accounting experience with a full set of booksCPA designation obtained or currently enrolledRecent experience working in a manufacturing accounting environment is requiredExcellent computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft OfficeStrong Excel spreadsheet skills are a mustGood analytical and organizational skillsKnowledge of computerized accounting and costing systemsLegal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
