Our resort is not owned or operated by a large ski conglomerate; rather by a bunch of local skiers and riders who are passionate about steep terrain and great snow. Operational decisions are made here (head office = the basement of the day lodge) and our long-term direction is plotted by a group of passionate, volunteer board of directors who represent more than 200, predominately local shareholders.

Position Overview : What we offer you :

  • Wages: ½ day ($72-$114) or full day ($120-$192) - rate is dependent on certifications and experience.
  • Work week varies depending on seasonal/weekly demand. We encourage staff to use slow periods to travel or visit other resorts.

What you Offer Us :

  • Hold the following certifications:

  • CSIA Level 3 and/or CASI Level 3 (or international equivalent)

  • Level 4 is considered an asset.

  • CAA AST 1 is considered an asset.

  • Experience in an alpine resort similar to Castle Mountain.

  • Are a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or a hold a valid Canadian work visa.

  • Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check.

What you will be doing :

  • Understanding and delivering the snow school on-snow product.
  • Leading instructor training clinics
  • Gap program instruction
  • Assisting in operational support of resort operations as required.
  • Continually improving own technical skills to better serve guests.
  • Helping to create amazing guest experiences.

  • Interviews will begin in mid June with a start date in late November.

Where We Are : Castle Mountain Resort is located at the end of Highway 774, near Pincher Creek, AB. This is a remote work location with no mobile coverage or public transit.
