Territory Manager - Foodservice

Magnet Search Group is helping our client, a leading CPG organization within the Food & Beverage space, look for a Territory Manager - Foodservice to join their commercial team and help drive their Foodservice account development within an assigned territory.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets by promoting company Foodservice products to customers and maintaining awareness of competitive pressures
  • Identify and secure regional & national chain account opportunities
  • Build key customer & distributor relationships that will assist in Foodservice sales growth
  • Develops business plans for key customers based on Foodservice fiscal objectives
  • Leverage cross functional partners in Marketing to develop selling tools
  • Secure customer meetings, quantify opportunities, sample products, and negotiate contracts
  • Report monthly on volume tracking to targets
  • Maintain a customer database containing contracts, customer contact information and relationships, records of customer meetings including follow-ups, product testing results and competitive information
  • Present new products, and re-negotiating contracts
  • Develop and achieving annual distributor sales targets and drive growth through sales training and trade show strategies
  • Assist in development of monthly forecasting
  • Coordinate involvement in regional trade shows including managing sampling product orders, gathering marketing tools and scheduling show coverage
  • Lead distributor training sessions on brands and promotions
  • Lead customer planning events and Ideation sessions with key external customers
  • Execute marketing strategies, plans and new product launches with customers

Qualifications:

  • University Degree is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of Foodservice Sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence
  • Superior customer presentation skills and strong negotiation skills
  • Strong time management, budget management and organizational skills
  • Extremely detail oriented, strategic thinker, strong business acumen and proven ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong understanding of Excel with experience using Microsoft Power Point and Word documents
  • Self-starter as well as collaborative team player
