Accounts Payable Clerk, Temp-to-Perm - Langley

This Accounts Payable Clerk position will start on a 3-month contract, and go permanent based on performance. The ideal candidates will have 1+ year of experience in Accounts Payable. We are looking for someone who is organized, reliable, and also has strong communication skills. You must be willing to work on-site M-F at the office based in Langley, nearby the Walnut Grove area (not easily transit accessible). Advantages •Full-time, in-office position •Monday to Friday work week •Collaborative, supportive team •Possibility of permanent placement based on performance •Free on-site parking Responsibilities •Verify invoice accuracy, code invoices and obtain approvals •Following up with consultants/vendors for inquiries or discrepancies •Reconcile invoices, and intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness •Support the Finance department to ensure an accurate flow of invoices in a timely manner •Printing cheques, obtaining bank drafts, and processing wire transfer payments •General administrative duties as needed Qualifications •Postsecondary education within Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field •1 + year of accounts payable experience •Strong verbal and written communication skills •Ability to manage various external client accounts with different coding and functions •Attention to accuracy in order to ensure that all invoices/expense claims are correctly approved, coded, and entered Summary If you’re looking for a fulfilling and challenging contract with the opportunity to go permanent, get in touch today!
