As the Service Desk Technician you will provide Tier 1-2 support for our end users.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs the Service Desk Technician your key responsibilities will include: Review technical support tickets, emails, and calls to the IT department Provide feedback and system status updates to users and log requests into the problem-tracking systemMonitor and report calls and call metrics from the time they are opened until the time they are closed while ensuring customer satisfactionProvide basic PC troubleshooting: manage power options, control panel, and image PCs, as neededTroubleshoot and resolve basic network and server access problems for end-usersAssist in collecting information for equipment inventory Required Skills & QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies: Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent in a related fieldKnowledge of networking, routing, firewalls, and securityUnderstanding of ITIL MethodologiesRelevant certifications (CompTiA A+, ITIL Foundation) are an assetPrior experience with Lean Six Sigma is an asset Benefits & Perks Venturis is proud to offer competitive compensation and flexible benefits coverage for all eligible employees, including an employer matching RRSP plan: Company paid medical health care plan for you and your dependentsExtended health plan – 100% employer paidDental plan, vision plan, and prescription drug coverageAnnual health care spending accountLife insurance, disability insurance, and travel insurance – 100% employer paidSick leave plan – 100% employer paidEmployee assistance programsRRSP matchingWellness daysOngoing professional development opportunities The base pay range for this role is: $50,000 to $60,000.This role is onsite based in Coquitlam, BC with the possibility of changing to hybrid after successful completion of the probationary period.
