Blue Water Cafe is a high volume fine dining restaurant, serving around 320 guests nightly.Blue Water Cafe is looking for an experienced, hands-on chef de partie to join their award-winning team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of an experienced kitchen team and work with exceptional seasonal products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and cook Canadian seafoodMaintain sanitation standards throughout the kitchen to comply with Provincial regulationsProvide input into product ordering, as well as cost control and monitoringEnsure food quality in presentation and production are consistently maintained at a premium levelAssist with menu development as requiredAssist with cost control, monitoring and ordering of supplies as requiredOther related duties and responsibilities as assigned Experience and Qualifications: At least three years of culinary experience, specifically seafood, preferably at a high-volume restaurantCompletion of secondary schoolExcellent interpersonal skills and fluent communication skills in EnglishAbility to prioritize, organize, and follow through as necessaryMust possess a passion for food and developing knowledge of all cooking methodsFood Safe certification is an asset
