Business address: 7032 Highway 6, Tobermory, ON N0H 2R0 Work location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full Time– Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Coach and instruct apprentices Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions Construct foundations for machinery Repair or replace defective machinery parts Supervise other workers Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up Estimate costs or materials Perform routine maintenance work on machinery Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawing and specifications Assembling machinery and equipment (prior to installation) Installing machinery and equipment Operate hoisting and lifting equipment Move boats around the worksite Requirements: Education: Completion of secondary education is required. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field is required OR if the worker doesn’t have the required experience, a college degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. A valid driver’s license (type G) is required to move boats. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure, Hand-eye co-ordination, Manual dexterity. Ability to supervise: 2 people Personal suitability: Team player, Flexibility, Judgement, Reliability, Organized. Language: English is required. Salary: $32.00 hourly, 40 Hours per week.
