Registered Nurse - PFT - Operating Room

Job Description Responsible for planning and executing directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care of the surgical patient. The successful candidate will function within the multidisciplinary team and rotate through all surgical services including Endoscopy, orthopedics, general, gynecology, OBS, urology, and plastics. Qualifications Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire Successful completion of post graduate OR course required Recent OR experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Team player, ability to utilize critical thinking skills, positive caring attitude, flexible and willingness to learn Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position Satisfactory employment and attendance record required Additional Information Hours:  Monday – Sunday, Various Rotating 7.5 hours shifts (0700 – 1500, 0730-1530, 0900-1700, 1000-1800, 1500-2300) – Plus scheduled On-Call Duties  (hours are subject to change based on operational needs) Salary: $39.07 per hour - $56.00 per hour Date Posted: May 7, 2024 Internal Applications Due By: May 14, 2024 Halton Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer who is committed to integrating diversity, equity and inclusion throughout our operations, policies and culture.
