We are currently hiring for a Cost Manager or Cost Analyst to work at our food manufacturing plant located in Langley, BC. This is a permanent opportunity with great benefits and perks! There are about 400 employees at this worksite. You will be reporting to the Controller and may have 2 direct reports. This is a fast-paced position with growth opportunities. Salary range is 60K – 90K depending on experience.What we offer:• 60k to75k for Costing Analyst or 80k to 90k for Cost Manager• A comprehensive health care plan including drug cards, vision care, life insurance, and dental coverage• Up to 10% bonus• 3% pension match after one year• Profit share program after 6 months• 3 weeks of vacation• 6 sick days• Great culture and nice open space office• ability to work from home once per week• opportunities for growth Your tasks as a Cost Manager or Costing Analyst:• Perform detailed analysis of inventory costing to ensure accuracy.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and reconcile inventory values.• Investigate and analyze variances in purchase prices and usage of finished goods.• Provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization.• Production analysis e.g. time studies and process validation:• Conduct time studies and process validations to enhance production efficiency.• Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for improvement.• Building product costs for new Items• Work closely with the product development team to establish accurate costs for new items.• Ensure timely and accurate cost information is available for decision-making.• Inventory Warehouse Reports Reconciliation and Journal Entries• Reconcile inventory warehouse reports to maintain data accuracy.• Prepare and post required journal entries related to inventory transactions.• Quarterly Inventory Count Reconciliations:• Coordinate and participate in quarterly inventory counts• Conduct reconciliations and address any discrepancies.
