Marshall Canada requires a Team Leader – Supply Chain in Moncton, NB to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible and accountable for leading the activity of the production facilities Material Planning and Supply teams. The Team Leader – Supply Chain will coordinate the execution of purchases, maximizing production, assembly material and service availability, as well as management and optimization.Your responsibilities in this role:Champion the IFS system through:Identifying and building system requirementsLearning, consulting on and executing IFS configurationEnsuring accuracy of data, data flows and outputsProviding IFS training and guidance to facility and support teamsMonitoring IFS standards and coach supply chain and facility team members to continuously improve processes and skillsDetecting data quality issues and works with relevant stakeholders to ensure rectification – advises their team on the best way to proceed in case of errorLooking for opportunities to improve the accuracy of data to remove material order errorsDevelop and maintain relationships with existing and potential suppliers:Leverage Marshall’s buying power to optimize costs, access new suppliers, reduce lead times and guarantee supplyRespond to customer service inquiries, clarify requirements and provide information as needed.Handle escalated concerns from internal and external stakeholders and participate in problem solving for solutionsConsult with suppliers. Prepare, disseminate and manage RFI, RFQ and review quotes.Establish logistics of delivery schedules, monitor progress and contact suppliers to resolve problemsPartner with the Quality Assurance team to plan external / supplier audit activitiesParticipate in management activities:Collaborate closely with the Planning, Warehousing, Operations, Quality, Project and Engineering departments in Canada and UK to ensure material supply is accurate, in full and on-timeCollaborate closely with Finance to ensure suppliers are paid on time and supply chain costs are accounted sufficiently and accuratelyLiaise with the Procurement Team to ensure supply-chain readiness to satisfy project requirements and/or to raise any risks of product/service quality and supplier performanceHold a holistic view of material availability and possible shortages at a Customer Project level to represent the Procurement and Supply-Chain team at Project reviews and updatesEstablish functional KPIs in conjunction with MRP planning & stores and use these to report daily to ensure control and communication of risks and issues.Monitor up and downstream KPIs for early identification of concerns and participate in reaching solutionsFormal reporting at shop floor, project and senior leadership levelsPlan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the purchasing activities to support ISO9001 certificationParticipate in the investigation of equipment, product or material specifications and in the development of proposals for substitutions.Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, standards and regulations in force and participate in continuous improvement activitiesForesight to evolve and update Supply Chain processes in synchronization with the growth and evolution of operations facility.Maximize material availability and minimizing working capital exposure across the production site:Develop local purchasing policies and proceduresIdentify vendors of materials, equipment, or suppliesEvaluate cost and quality of goods or services, may participate in the negotiation of purchase contractsEnsure purchase requisitions are processed in a timely fashion and ensure accurate and timely release of purchase orders by ensuring clear responsibilitiesProvide leadership to local Material Planning and Supply team:May provide input into hiring decisionsSupervise, plan, assign and review the work of Supply Chain team members related to shipping, receiving, maintaining inventories, and processing purchasing transactionsSupports the management of the team’s performance, development and growth through clear objectives, priorities and training plansLead by example in the supply chain team and perform line management responsibilities, thus driving efficiency and a highly performing teamDrive a culture of “No PO, No Go” within the supply chain and wider operations teamsOther duties as assigned by the Operations ManagerApply if you have most of the following:Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Commerce or EconomicsSupply Chain Management education from recognized post-secondary institutionMinimum 1 year experience working in a supply chain / purchasing role for a manufacturing facilityResolute understanding of the principles of MRP with at least 2 years' experience in this domain.Minimum 1 year experience working with IFS to manage supply chain responsibilities & KPI’sMinimum 1 year experience as an IFS system champion with focus on development of processes, requirements, training material and data accuracyAbove Average Microsoft Office 365 skills, with excel in particularAbility to understand own responsibilities and the responsibilities of the broader team to ensure clear direction and understanding of overall goals and objectives.Strong, professional communication skillsDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentialityMust be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.About Marshall:Marshall Canada is part of the 110-year-old Marshall Group of Companies, an independent private organization headquartered in Cambridge (UK).Located in Ottawa, Abbotsford and Moncton, Marshall Canada provides military and commercial customers with a range of world-leading applied engineering services and product solutions across Canada and beyond.
