Posting Details Job Details Description Key Responsibilities: Review Mechanical Flow Sheets and scope of supply and prepare master summary list utilizing Propak’s Lot / Split systemPrepare vessel/exchanger fabrication and piping material and labor estimates in accordance with in-house procedures and estimating templates.Prepare valve and instrumentation takeoffs and obtain competitive pricing from suppliers.Reviews, queries, and understands the scope of work, specifications, and standardsAttends fabrication estimates reviews with Management when required. Qualifications: Experience in fabrication for an Oil and Gas EPC organization.A two-year diploma in an engineering technology or an engineering degree with emphasis in mechanical / chemical / petroleum engineering. Or An experienced Industry Trade Professional, with a Journeyperson Certificate, along with significant directly related EPC fabrication experience will be considered in lieu of a diploma or degree.Training is available as required to enhance competencies as an Estimator. Competencies: Understands the scope of work, specifications / standards, material selection.Understands the fabrication / erection sequences and applies the same for estimation.Apply practical knowledge and develop broad based skills while contributing to the overall success of Propak’s operations through interaction with a cross functional team.Working with Engineers, understands the development of conceptual and detailed fabricated design.Undertakes effective daily planning and completes tasks on time.Maintains a professional attitude under times constraints, multiple tasks and changing priorities.Ability to interact with other trades, managers, directors.Ability to prepare quotes to vendors.Must be eligible to work in Canada.
