ChampionX has an immediate need for an Account Manager located in Drayton Valley, AB. As an Account Manager, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining and supporting established production chemical programs for local oil and gas producers as well as for growing the current business. You will be a self starter that has excellent time management skills and a desire to grow your accounts. In addition, you will be responsible for building long-term relationships throughout your customer base by understanding their key business drivers, executing system assurance programs, and selling new technologies. What You Will Do: - Work closely with current and new customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory.- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and new oil and gas producing customers.- Collaborate with sales and technical team to provide technical support to customers, identifying and resolving customer challenges.- Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer issues, escalating as required.- Engage in problem-solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations perform optimally.- Actively sell and support ChampionX innovations and technology to promote long-term business relationships with ChampionX.- Some travel is required to support business requirements and receive training. Position Details:- Territory will include Drayton Valley, AB and surrounding areas.- Immigration sponsorship not available for this position Minimum Qualifications: - 3 or more years of technical sales or field sales support experience- Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (Driver's Abstract)- - Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multitask Physical Demands: - Must have the ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred- Previous Petrochemical experience- Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience- Working knowledge of water treatment systems- History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation- Prior experience that required excellent communication skills- Prior experience that required excellent organizational skills- Account leadership experience that includes calling on multilevel plant or facilities management to accomplish company goals About ChampionX ChampionX is a global leader in providing chemistry programs and services, drilling technology, artificial lift solutions, and automation technologies for the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry.
