For more information, visit www.techinsights.com.    THE OPPORTUNITY:   As Agile Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading both burst and internal software development teams to deliver high-quality, timely software solutions efficiently. You will report to the VP, Software Development, work on site at our Ottawa office, and you will work closely with cross-functional teams, such as architecture, design, product management, and engineering, to ensure alignment with goals and objectives.    As a primary interface for the Scrum Masters, you will ensure that retrospectives are held and that important ideas for change and feedback is shared with the VP, Software. The Agile Development Manager facilitates creating a positive, productive, and engaging work environment, and is committed to continuous improvement and innovation.   WHAT YOU WILL DO: Lead and coach agile development teams in adopting and implementing agile Methodologies  Manage the engineering process: ensuring that solutions are engineered in a timely manner, deliver the requested value, within the prescribed architecture  Participate in the refinement of epics and stories  Facilitate agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives  Facilitate distribution of workload among engineers  Mentors team members on best practices, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and transparency through continuous performance feedback and coaching  Track and report on key metrics related to team performance, sprint progress, and product quality. Continuously monitor productivity and quality of team output  Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in Agile methodologies and software development  WHAT YOU BRING: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent experience  A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field  Background in building technical integrated products, ideally in a SaaS environment  Knowledge of software concepts and applications, with hands-on experience developing software programs   Knowledge of data and software architecture  Experience participating in complex software projects   Strong experience an Agile principles and practices, both as a participant and leader  Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to recognize underlying issues and implications of decisions and actions  Well-organized with strong attention to detail  Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills   As part of the recruitment process for this position, you will be required to submit your latest citizenship and/or permanent residency information.
