We AIM for excellence.What we offer!Competitive salary + other benefits.Group insurance & RRSP program.Company-organized events throughout the year.Free on-site gym.Two on-site cafeterias (subsidized meal program available).Dynamic and rewarding work environment - work on important and meaningful projects while having fun!Job DescriptionReporting to the Supervisor, Occupational Health and Safety, and working in close collaboration with managers, Occupational Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling activities relating to the prevention of work-related accidents and illnesses for the sites assigned to him/her.Acts as a change agent for the development of an OHS culture among all managers/employees for all assigned sites.Advises and supports managers in their various OHS matters.Collaborates in the development and implementation of various OHS programs, policies, procedures and tools.Regularly inspects workplaces and work methods to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Carries out analyses of occupational hazards and proposes preventive measures.Conducts workplace accident investigations and analyses in conjunction with managers, and ensures that the necessary corrective and preventive measures are applied.Participates and collaborates with administrative bodies during inspections or investigations (CNESST, fire departments, CIUSS, etc.).Responds to information requests from employees and internal/external customers concerning occupational health and safety.Ensures that all mandatory OHS training is completed for all employees and, if necessary, provides the required training.Performs all other related duties.QualificationsCollege diploma or university certificate in OHS.Minimum 7 to 10 years' experience in a similar position.Knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.Proficiency in MS Office suite.Bilingualism required.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between company sites.Additional InformationFull time, permanent positionMonday to friday, 9 am to 5 pmAmerican Iron & Metal and its subsidiaries is an equal opportunity employer.
