Our client, a major legal firm, is looking to hire a Litigation Legal Assistant for the downtown Montreal office. Advantages Full-time, permanent position (37.5h/week); Salary range between $45k/year and $75k/year (depending on experience); Flexible, advantageous group insurance available upon hiring 24-7 telemedicine service; Employee assistance program, including a wellness management program; Group RRSP with employer participation; Flexible working days to improve work-life balance; Unlimited sick leave; Corporate discounts; Reimbursement of sports expenses; Responsibilities Assisting a lawyer and a partner; Plan and organize lawyers' work according to deadlines; Draft, transcribe, translate and edit letters, agreements, contracts, procedures and other dictated or handwritten documents; Manage lawyers' correspondence and schedules, and organize travel and meetings; Follow up on ongoing files and gather relevant information from clients, the Court and opposing parties; Prepare documents related to billing, payments, time entry and follow up on receivables; Perform various administrative tasks such as: printing, filing, opening files, etc. Qualifications Secretarial diploma or in the legal field; 2 to 3 years' experience as a legal assistant; Excellent command of the Office Suite; Excellent customer service and attention to detail; Discretion and ability to work as part of a team.
