ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - St. Michael’s School (Bow Island) This position is open to all internal and external candidates. We are looking to hire a continuous 35.0 hour per week Administrative Assistant at St. Michael’s School in Bow Island. This assignment is to commence September 23, 2024. Having strong mathematical and/or accounting skills is considered an asset. This position is covered by the CUPE 1825 collective agreement. Please quote P osting #3776878. Under the direction of the Principal, the Administrative Assistant provides support to school and division administration, staff and educational partners. Through a collaborative team-based structure, they will carry out day to day tasks as assigned to effectively and efficiently run the school office. Confidentiality is of utmost importance. This position does not have any direct reports or supervisory/managerial components. E DUCATION: Two-year diploma in business administration and accounting background is preferred. WO RK EXPERIENCE: One-year office experience within a school setting is preferred. TECHNICAL S KILLS: Knowledge of office equipment (photocopiers, phone systems, laminators, etc.); Able to work in Google platform (Google Drive, Mail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Slides, etc.); Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Publisher, Word, Excel); Website maintenance; Student Information Systems (currently PowerSchool, Dossier, PASI); Division/School financial platform (currently SchoolCash/KEV); Leave management system (currently PowerSchool Atrieve ERP) INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Excellent: Public relations skills; Communication skills (both written and oral); Telephone etiquette; Organizational skills; Time management; Collaborative team member; Willingness to take required training specific to job duties; Able to work under deadlines; Capacity to work independently and show initiative.
