We AIM for excellence.Job DescriptionThe FP&A team leads the finance organization to implement best of breed industry practices and processes in a dynamic and growth driven environment. Our mission is to innovate with visualization tools, re-engineered processes, and insightful analytics. As Financial Analyst reporting to the FP&A Director, you will be responsible for a set of business activities and to respond to Ad-Hoc requests with professional, data-driven actionable analytics.Develop and maintain the FP&A framework to support budgeting, forecasting, business reviews, and long-term strategic planningDevelop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs), reports and dashboards to bring insightful actionable data and support management decisionsWork closely with Finance Directors and their business partners to understand business unit’s operations and provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making processesAnalyze financial and operational performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvementWork collaboratively with the BI team to ensure that the necessary data models are availableProduce new reports and maintain existing ones using Power BI, with the data sets provided by the BI teamDevelop and maintain knowledge of available data from various data sources.Perform periodic and ad hoc reports for senior management and various departments as requiredPromote advanced analytics as well as using technology to advance the FP&A organization and analytical cultureEstablish and maintain partnerships with stakeholders at Head Office and across divisions.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or administrationCPA designation considered an advantage3-5 years of relevant experienceStrong analytical thinking and superior learning ability; Team player; Detailed oriented, very organized and takes pride in providing complete and accurate informationNatural communication skills that quickly adapts to different level stakeholders.Comfortable working as part of a large, complex organization with multiple divisions and locationsStrong analytical mind with business acumen, enjoying tackling issues at their rootKnowledge and proficiency in accounting and financial systems and software; knowledge of Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint, Power BI is essential; Power Query, D365, RECY, Maximo, will be considered an assetAble to work under pressure with tight deadlines in a growing environmentBilingualism (French/English) both oral and written.Additional InformationWhat we offer!Competitive salary + other perksGroup insurance & RRSP programCompany-wide events throughout the year (BBQ, Holiday party etc.) Free gym on siteTwo cafeterias on site (subsidized meal program available)Dynamic & rewarding work environment- work on high-impact, meaningful projects while also having fun!American Iron & Metal and its subsidiaries is an equal opportunity employer.
