Activities include providing technical expertise, tool design concepts, tool design estimates and span times. All activities will be coordinated with Methods M.E. and Operations to obtain the desired results. Knowledge: Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Problem Solving: Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. Impact: Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into the final product. Liaison: Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects. Acts as advisor to management and customers providing technical assistance to obtain the desired results. Project Management: Focuses on planning and organizing a project and its resources. This includes identifying and managing the lifecycle to be used, applying it to the user-centered design process, formulating the project team, and efficiently guiding the team through all phases until project completion. As our ideal candidateTool Designer with a minimum of 7 years of related experience designing a wide variety of tools in Catia V5. Candidate must be familiar with transferring and storing data in Enovia. Must have experience designing multiple types of tools including assembly jigs, fixtures, detail tools, templates, overhead lifting slings, transportation equipment and storage containers required for production use. Must have extensive knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing. Designs must take into consideration such factors as ergonomics, safety, accessibility, performance, and cost.
