One of our esteemed clients is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Materials Manager to join their team and efficiently manage shipping and receiving operations.Roles and Responsibilities:Supervise shipping and receiving personnel in the plant and warehouse.Ensure materials meet company and customer receiving standards.Provide training and support for shippers, receivers, and lead hands.Implement and enforce transportation safety regulations.Oversee accurate labeling and tagging of materials using barcoding systems.Manage daily material movement and personnel activities.Organize freight activities and oversee inventory control.Participate in team meetings and physical inventory activities.Monitor customer delivery performance and resolve any violations.Qualifications:College diploma in a related field, such as business management.At least 3 years of experience in a shipping/receiving supervisory role, preferably in the automotive industry.Valid tow motor license.Proficient in DDL, MRP systems, and Windows-based software.Strong understanding of lot traceability and material handling experience.If you have a passion for logistics and a proven track record in materials management, we encourage you to apply and contribute to our client's continued success.
