Lead Applications Engineer

ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary technical point of contact for customers.Support technical qualification of new chip designs to secure customer design wins.Analyze and debug complex technical issues involving silicon, firmware, system software/hardware and bring customer issues to a satisfactory conclusion.Present technical updates to customers and company management in writing and verbally via quality presentations.Create comprehensive technical documentation such as datasheets, user guides and application notes.QualificationsSolid understanding of the PCIe protocol and electrical sub-systems including experience with analyzersExperience with DDR4/5 memory operationGood understanding of signal integrity issues up to 16 GHz and higherExperience with I2C/I3C serial interfacesExtensive experience with probing, high speed oscilloscopes and other lab equipment.Experience with fundamental root cause techniques to solve complex problems.Ability to use scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl or Python to analyze data log text files and automate system and bench testingAbility to travel to customer sites as needed, including international travelExcellent verbal and written communications skills in EnglishBS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field10+ years of experience in hardware design or validation at the chip and module levelAbout RambusWith 30 years of innovation and semiconductor expertise, Rambus leads the industry with products and solutions speed performance, expand capacity and improve security for today's most demanding applications.
