An opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager to join a large, well-known contractor in the lower mainland!

Our client, a well-established and reputable company, is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to contribute to their continued growth. As part of their team, you’ll play a crucial role in overseeing commercial, industrial, and tenant improvement projects. If you’re passionate about delivering high-quality work and building strong client relationships, this opportunity is for you.

Your new Role:

Project Planning and Management:

  • Develop and manage project schedules, resource plans, procurement, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee projects to ensure the highest quality deliverables for our clients.
  • Conduct monthly project billing, reconcile project accounts, and handle ongoing invoicing.

Leadership and Team Support:

  • Provide direction, leadership, and support to project team members.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and foremen to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage technical staff to achieve project milestones.

Safety and Risk Management:

  • Proactively assess risks and develop safety plans in alignment with regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Participate in safety committee meetings.

Client Satisfaction:

  • Address client concerns promptly and maintain overall client satisfaction.
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders.

Subcontractor Management:

  • Develop relationships with subcontractors to build a reliable pool of resources.
  • Manage subcontractor selection for projects as needed.

Estimation and Documentation:

  • Prepare estimates for material, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Handle bids, quotations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare change order estimates.

What you’ll need to Succeed:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience with commercial projects in the local Vancouver Electrical Industry.

Education: Trades Qualified.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project software.
  • Strong computer skills.

Time Management: Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet multiple deadlines.
