Your opportunity: Facilities and Services (F&S) is a portfolio comprised of teams with diverse day-to-day operations and skill sets. The Digital Communications Officer is an exciting role, which will continue developing and growing F&S' young social media presence and strategy, launch new channels, as well as coordinate, maintain, and create content for F&S' other digital channels. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Improvement and Strategic Initiatives, the Digital Communications Officer will work very closely with different F&S teams as well as build relationships with stakeholders within the university’s social media community. Their priority will be to bring energy, creativity, and a new approach to increasing visibility and awareness of the F&S brand and services on-campus and to education and outreach on sustainability and facility topics. They will also work with communications team members to support special initiatives and core communications processes. Your responsibilities will include: Writing and editing digital communications Scheduling production activities Determining the logistics required for the implementation of communication initiatives Implementing social media campaigns Creating and maintaining presence on social media platforms Advising on strategies to maximize social media presence and growth Training staff and faculty on the use of social media Analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns and/or programs using metrics Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Communications or acceptable combination of equivalent experience. Minimum four years experience in Marketing/Communications Minimum four years experience in Social Media branding Excellent communication skills [written and oral] Advance computer skills [Adobe creative software, Microsoft Office, Social Media Platforms] Experience assessing digital materials for consistency of graphic elements and appropriate layout of text Experience in producing promotional and outreach materials To be successful in this role you will be: Communicator Decisive Intuitive Meticulous Organized Possess a positive attitude Resourceful Closing Date: 05/15/2024, 11:59PM ET Employee Group: USW Appointment Type : Budget - Term Schedule: Full-Time Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 11 -- $73,748 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $94,310.
