Construction Project Manager

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for :

  • Planning, scheduling, and controlling activities, in conjunction with the Project Team, during the construction phase of assigned project(s).
  • Administration and management of prime contract and subcontracts including negotiating and awarding of subcontracts for scopes of work, as well as review and evaluation of subcontractor performance.
  • Managing, reviewing and analyzing the budget and costs for each project.
  • Creating and adhering to construction schedules.
  • Fostering and maintaining positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects and subcontractors.
  • Other duties/tasks as assigned.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of building industry experience.
  • A university degree in a construction-related discipline as well as demonstrated, progressive experience in General Contracting.
  • Experience running multiple, concurrent projects and working on projects in remote communities would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality and administration.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel and work with Northern Communities.
