Vacation + Personal Days Fantastic growth opportunities The Job You will play a pivotal role in supporting the legal team in handling various aspects of insurance claims and tort liability cases. You will be responsible for daily file management, including electronic organization, maintenance, and reporting on files. Additionally, you will provide support on matters related to professional negligence, product liability, motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, among others. As well as this, your main responsibilities may also include: Conducting legal research on insurance laws, regulations, and precedents relevant to tort liability cases. Assisting attorneys in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and mediation briefs. Reviewing and summarizing legal documents, deposition transcripts, and other case-related materials. Preparing document production for the discovery process, including charts, chronologies, and summaries of documentary evidence. Assisting in the preparation of pre-trial briefs and preparing for hearings and trials. Acting as a liaison between lawyers and clients, as well as between lawyers and opposing counsel. Liaising with and retaining experts as necessary. Collaborating closely with the legal team and demonstrating unwavering commitment to excellence. What you bring to the job: Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Law clerk coming from Insurance Defence, Litigation, or Personal Injury College Law Clerk Diploma or Institute of Law Clerks Ontario Certificate Strong knowledge and understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure Knowledge of iManage, ACL, Relativity, Kofax Power PDF, Word, Excel and Outlook A team player with a strong work ethic and a desire for continuous improvement Strong, professional-level communication skills, both written and verbal Able to organize time effectively and prioritize tasks Strong technical skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Qualified job seekers are asked to apply with attention to Ariella Permaul .
