General Description

Provide leadership to staff in the Granby and Quebec City offices as well as sales representatives in the Eastern Quebec region. Work closely with sales & business development teams, operations & marketing to create business strategies for new and existing customers to exceed revenue & profit targets.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the sales team; establishing sales goals for each sales rep and assist them in developing their own 'detailed' individual sales plans to achieve both the overall and individual sales
  • Conduct one-on-one review with all sales reps to build more effective communication, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of the sales reps activity performance.
  • Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
  • Responsible for joint call activity with the suppliers and the sales reps
  • Responsible for motivating the sales team to obtain the goal of attendees for the different marketing activities that relate to sales, (seminars, trade shows, annual events,)
  • Undertake and update an effective scan of competitive (and other externalities) activities as to market development (price, product development, positioning, and dealer focus).
  • Provide primary input to the annual budget and weekly forecast process based on intimate knowledge of opportunities and sales activities.
  • Understand customer segmentation, product balance, key customer relationships, market shares and general trends in the economic environment will be a priority along with executing the overall business plan
  • Analyze daily, monthly & annual performance in detail to establish a very strong understanding of the business situation and to establish short and medium term tactics.
  • Ensure daily use of CRM for all Sales Staff; analyze sales pipeline data to evaluate the 30 day sales quote forecast and qualified sales leads

Work experience requirements

  • 5- 10 years related sales management with a strong focus on customer service
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills who can manage and motivate sales staff
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales team to meet sales targets and increase Proax market share
  • Experience in the development of sales strategy, processes and sales budgets
  • Experience in driving sales revenue generation from new and existing clients
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with various levels of Proax from Sales Reps to Senior Management
  • Strong organizational skills

Education requirements

  • University education Commerce, Business Administration
  • Knowledge of Industrial automation controls, safety products & motion controls
  • Knowledge of Pneumatics & mechanical solutions
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software and Excel
  • Good interpersonal skills
