Key responsibilities of this role are:Learning (50%) Oversees a team of learning and development professionals who design, develop, execute and measure innovative and sustainable learning solutions to meet business and employee needs.Builds trusted relationships with leadership and assesses skill development to ensure their line of business goals are supported.Sources external vendors, as required. Guides, manages, coaches and supports vendors to assist in development of specific strategic programs and deliverables.Develops, manages and interprets learning metrics. Continually looks for ways to apply business intelligence and data to address business issues and increase the return on learning programs.Develops learning budgets considering both short and long-term needs.Provides thought leadership and consultation to actively research, design and implement learning programs to integrate organizational values, create an exceptional culture, engaged employees and support the achievement of business goals. Supports and coaches People Leaders through program implementation.Evaluates the overall effectiveness of learning programs. Establishes program measurements and outcomes, program evaluation and the sustainability of learning.Maintains oversight of L&D cross functional teams such as cybersecurity, Intranet Governance and other strategic partnerships.Leads direct reports and facilitates their development; recruits and selects new staff, develops performance metrics and priorities, evaluates performance and provides appropriate rewards and recognition and takes corrective action, as required.Ensures compliance with regulatory bodies and credit union policies. Leadership Development (25%) Assess, develops and implements programs in areas of leadership, mentoring and coaching at all levels of the organizationCreates and/or implements assessment tools and development programs that support the organization's workforce and succession plans and retention of key talent.Partners with HR to analyze the organization employee opinion survey and develops appropriate recommendations to address findings. Organizational Development & Inclusion (25%) Advocates for an inclusive culture across the organization, embodying wellbeing, safety, diversity, equity and accessibility.Collaborates with HR and stakeholders to establish, design and deliver the inclusion strategy, programs and practices to enable people and business strategies, using key metrics to help determine the effectiveness of inclusion initiatives and how to improve them.Partners with HR, peers and senior leaders to create policies and practices to structurally address inclusion needs, such as reviewing workforce data, engagement surveys, legislative trends and external research.Supports Employee Resource Groups such as Cultural Ambassadors, Digital Ambassadors and Shore Connect.Provides leadership, coaching and guidance to all employees in the area of inclusion. Qualifications and Experience Post-secondary degree or diploma in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources or a related field. Master’s degree in adult learning or similar an assetExperience working in financial services requiredCertified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) designation or equivalentMinimum 7 years' experience in instructional design with expert knowledge of learning needs analysis, course design and evaluation, coaching and adult learning theories3-5 years’ previous People Leadership experienceProject management or change management certificates an asset (Prosci, Lean Green Belt, PMP)Advanced presentation and facilitation skillsProficiency in digital learning platforms and authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, WebEx, Canva, Miro); intermediate to advanced ability in Microsoft Office.Practitioner or advanced knowledge and experience using psychometric instruments (Leadership assessments, 360's, EQi tools, MBTI, Insights etc.)Designation or professional development in inclusion and/or diversity an assetCoaching training and/or certification an asset Pay TransparencyPay transparency is an important characteristic of our recruitment process and overall BlueShore culture which supports a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce.The target base salary range of this role is $119,000 - $146,000/year plus a variable performance bonus.
