Aircraft Engine Technician

Your ideas are our fuel.The Engine Technician troubleshoots, performs maintenance, and repairs aircraft engines and related aircraft components. In your role, you will:• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hangar positions) • Comply with Environmental / Health / Safety policies and procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all work in a safe and timely manner • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on engines and related aircraft problems• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required • Remove / install / replace aircraft engines and accessories• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required• Assist with performing complete engine runs• Operate ground support equipment• Assist with off-aircraft component repair• Perform mechanical/ electrical removals and installations• Perform other duties as assignedAs our ideal candidate• You have an Airframe & Powerplant Certificate• You have 0 – 2+ years aircraft maintenance and repair, or substantiated equivalent experience • You have previous experience in A/C turbine engine maintenance • You can interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings• You can effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on aircraft status • You have previous experience on either corporate or commercial jet aircraft (preferred)• Tug qualified (preferred)• Forklift qualified (preferred)• Ground Support Equipment qualified (preferred)• Basic PC skills Bombardier is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
