The Jean-Gaulin refinery in Lévis is currently looking for to fill technician positions in refining electrician's profile. The incumbent of the position will be fulfilling operation's duties while working at operation and will occupy an electrician' duties when in his maintenance weeks. We are looking for people who are respectful of health and safety rules, team work oriented and available to work on our operating and maintenance schedules. Tasks at operation: Ensure proper running of operation and proper functioning of equipment in the unit. Carry out different verification rounds including taking readings of pressures, temperatures and flows. Carry out minor maintenance work on the equipment in its sector. Take samples of process products and perform quality control tests. Participate in major turnarounds, starts and maintenance work of production units. Tasks at maintenance: As per the workschedule, perform predictive, preventive and reactive maintenance work. In collaboration with the technicians at the operation, diagnose the source of the problems and make the necessary corrections for the proper operation of the process. Diagnose problems on the various heating and electrical tracing systems. Prepare repair plans. Perform maintenance and repair work on starters and switch cabinets from 120 Volts to 120 000 Volts. Develop, through training and coaching, skills on the different technologies of the electrical equipment used at the refinery. Diagnose, connect and disconnect motors of pumps, heater matrix, compressors, etc. Use measuring devices or computers for programming and adjusting the parameters of electrical equipment (variable speed drives, programmable controllers). Follow the execution procedures associated with the tasks. Complete the Quality of Work Checklist and the Pre-Operational Checklist for completed work. Work Schedule: 7 week cycle. That is, 4 weeks at the operation on 12-hour shifts, alternating day/night, followed by 3 weeks at the maintenance on 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday. Must have a high school diploma or a grade 5 equivalency degree. Must have a Cegep/College Degree in electrotechnical or electrodynamic. Must hold his electrician companion card issued by Emploi-Québec. Must have for 5 years of experience in electricity (an asset). Must be able to interpret the electrical diagrams. Must have a valid driver's licence. Must demonstrate good learning abilities. Must be teamwork oriented.
