Summary : The Asphalt Plant Operator is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the asphalt plant, ensuring all safety and environmental regulations, policies and procedures are followed. This position communicates with all levels of personnel within the organization, facilitating the timely production of quality asphalt product.
Qualifications and Requirements :
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Class 5 driver’s license required
- Training in Confident Space Entry, Aerial Life and Fall Arrest preferred
- Experience within a road construction company is an asset
- Minimum 2 years experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of asphalt equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical components and moving parts
- Technical understanding of mix designed, aggregate AC oils and test results
- Heavy Equipment operation skills
- Time management skills
- Excellent hand, eye, and foot coordination
- Attention to detail
- Mathematical aptitude
- Ability to prioritize work
