  • Experience (within the past 2 years) working in a Centralize Sterile Reprocessing environment

  • Demonstrated computer skills including: Microsoft Office Suite and Inventory Management software-Preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with instrument handling and reprocessing
  • Preferred
  • Enhances knowledge of current CSA regulations and standards
  • Preferred
  • O.R. experience an asset.
  • Satisfactory attendance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)

  • Carries out daily functions in Medical Device Reprocessing Department including decontamination, reprocessing, instrument care and handling, sterilization, ordering supplies and case cart preparation in accordance with CSA standards, AAMI, CSAO standards and OHSA.
  • Ability to clean instruments, stainless steel and equipment.
  • Ensures safe handling of all instrumentation.
  • Maintains inventory of sterile/unsterile instrument and supplies.
  • Ensures proper picking / packing of case cart system according to established guidelines.
