Purpose of the Role: As the Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to and managing projects within the procurement department. You will be responsible for developing professional expertise and applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues related to purchasing. Your role involves determining courses of action based on guidelines, modifying processes and methods as required, and ensuring efficient procurement practices.  Required Skills and Qualifications: You've had post-secondary education in business administration, supply chain management or equivalent experience.You have -years of previous related experience. You posses excellent problem solving skills. You have excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications and purchasing software, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.You have great attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and tracking procurement activities.  What Success looks like in this role: You will conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and products that meet the organization's needs.You will evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, availability, and other factors.You will negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and conditions.You will manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues that arise.You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as production and inventory management teams, to forecast demand and ensure adequate supply levels.You will procurement data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
