Department of Digital Innovation and TechnologyContinuing Full Time Position: Commencing approximately June 1st 2024Application deadline is 11:59PM, May 9, 2024Competition No. 2425-033Salary range: $77,432.50 to $94,221.15 annually Responsibilities What you will be doing…You will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining Information Services infrastructure college wide. Services include data center operations, Office 365, service desk, identity management, networking, and building automation systems.You will provide support to campus technicians who provide support services to college staff and students. In addition, you will provide infrastructure services to the Digital Products & Experience and Enterprise Applications teams inside the Digital Information & Technology department.Additional areas of focus for this position will be project coordination and procurement activities related to infrastructure, asset management, and vendor contract management. There is a rotating on call component with this position. Qualifications Qualifications and Occupational Experience:The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary diploma in Information Technology with relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified Support Engineer (MCSE) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).You have a minimum of five years of recent and related occupational experience in planning, testing and troubleshooting networked computers systems.Occupational experience that includes supporting centralized core IT services would be considered an asset.You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mailMicrosoft Teams, Azure, data center infrastructure management (DCIM) applications, building automation systems (BAS) applications.You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology, and you are committed to using technology in advancing your workYou have a good working knowledge of the ITIL framework.An ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification will be considered an assetA BICSI certification will be considered an asset.Relevant Skills and KnowledgeYou demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusionYou possess excellent interpersonal skills and can interact at all levels of an organizationYou are known for your superior customer service skills and can create a relationship of trust beyond the immediate interactionYour superb team working skills enable you to contribute positively to a team environmentYou have specific technical occupational knowledge and skill in Microsoft solutions and technologies, Dell enterprise storage and computing systemsYou are known for your problem solving and critical thinking skillsYou are a strong communicator both written and oralYou possess excellent coordination skills specifically related to vendor and subcontractor management.You have proven records and information management skills and abilities specifically related to operational incident and request tracking and managementYou have strong project coordination and time management skills.You demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence demonstrated by knowledge and/or implementation experience of industry standard frameworks, and methodologies such as ITIL, AGILE, DevOps, PMP, etcYou are dedicated to life-long learning as demonstrated by your commitment to skill advancement and knowledge of industry advancement and trends.You have outstanding documentation habits.You have experience with asset management systems such as PatchManager B.V.
