Job Details Description PurposeThe Senior Finance Systems Specialist reports to the Controller. This is a key role in the finance team and an integral contributor to the finance system controls of Rocky Mountaineer in ensuring all access, controls and configurations are established in accordance with the appropriate controls and permissions for RM. As part of the Finance department, this role services all departments locally and abroad and any related companies in an authorized capacity.Additionally, this position provides training and assistance within the finance team and to other departments on each system. This role is vital in evaluating process improvements and systems data management.Key Areas of Accountability • Take responsibility for the administration, maintenance and support of all finance applications including Concur, Coupa, Guide TI, Infor Sun, and any future applications• Appropriate access and control over workflow• Coding account availability and configurations according to policies and budgets • Manage system security (user and detailed permission level) and perform regular reviews to ensure appropriate segregation of access for control purposes.• Maintain consolidation hierarchies as well as integrations between FMS/P2P systems.• Design and maintain reports in Adaptive Planning and support data requirements/reporting needs of the finance team.• Act as the main point of contact for Coupa ticket prioritization and escalation, along with other team members, to efficiently resolve issues.• Ensure data integrity, internal controls, and audit trails are maintained throughout all applications.• Work closely with the Finance groups to identify areas for process improvement.• Develop strong relationships with other external support services and internal departments including IT teams.• Manage/support various ad-hoc projects including system implementations, modifications, Finance or IT Compliance, archiving etc. as required.• Build and maintain knowledge base around recurring system issues to ensure prompt resolution.• Provide training material and host training sessions as needed• Be the key point of contact for Finance in all systems related projects.• Design and maintain reports -adaptable to needs, planning and support data requirements/reporting needs of the finance team.• Maintain education and provide documented details for releases and improvements within managed systems• Provide proposals for system optimization with finance goals and procesesQualifications Education, Certification, Licenses • Certificate in Accounting or equivalent experience in business administration and invoicing • Proficiency with use of Microsoft office programs, along with knowledge of accounting and invoice processing software required• Strong spreadsheet capabilities (creation of pivot tables, data analysis, complex formula writing etc)Experience• 2+ years experience in a finance department• Experience with SalesForce, Concur, Coupa and Netsuite.
