Job DescriptionAbout Allstar Rebar In business for over 20 years, Allstar Rebar Nova Scotia Limitedcuts, bends and installs reinforcing steel for poured-in-placed concrete work. Allstar Rebar Nova Scotia Limited’s plant capacity is currently 10,000+ tons. Their estimating, detailing, shop scheduling, tagging and shipping is performed using a computerized production management system. Rebar is detailed using the latest CAD technology offered by Bentley Microstation/ASA to CSA, CRSI and ASTM specifications. Rebar is installed using in-house or subcontracted crews depending on the project requirements.Job SummaryThis position is responsible for working directly with clients and the Rebar department to ensure that all projects are completed within budget and defined scope. The Project Manager coordinates with various key individuals to ensure that goals are met on time and that each team’s deliverables are compatible with all others. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, with the ability to plan and multitask. This is primarily a task-focused job, requiring an authoritative, directive leadership style that encourages results-driven, task-oriented collaboration. Responsibilities Planning and managing job site construction activities on a daily basis which includes project co-ordination, scheduling, estimating, material requisitioning and cost control. Adhering to budgets by reviewing financial status of projects and identifying problem areas. Coordinating manpower and subcontractors to effectively handle delivery, labour, schedule, etc. Consistently meeting client requirements for quality, safety, cost and schedule. Recognizing key issues and acting in a timely manner to expedite solutions both internally and externally. Representing the organization in a professional, positive manner when in contact with clients and consultants. Attending regular project meetings either virtually or in person. Assisting in the budgeting, design proposals & delivery schedules of construction projects throughout Atlantic Canada, which may involve occasional travel. Identifying discrepancies within the contract documents.  Working closely with the Detailing Manager and Project Coordinator to resolve RFI’s. Identifying, executing and collecting Change Notices for work outside of the contract scope.
