Job OverviewThe Director of Quality, reporting to the VP of Operational Excellence and Quality, is responsible for managing the Quality Team, development, and implementation, as well as continuously improving a standardized quality management system throughout Gateway’s organization, carrying out regular inspections of Gateway’s locations, processes and procedures related to quality, conduct analyses to identify problems and their corrective actions, communicate effectively with facility personnel to make improvements, and prepare reports for senior management.The Director of Quality is responsible for Gateway’s Supplier Quality Program, ensuring the review of services and products, compliance with the program, and continuous improvement in our supplier quality practices.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for recommending and implementing strategies and processes to manage quality.Responsible for developing, reviewing, and updating all quality-related documents, including related operational training documents.Driving best-in-class quality management processes.Responsible for in-depth investigation of quality management failures or non-compliance.Responsible for developing proper quality planning and quality control processes.Ensure that critical inspections are performed with permanent corrective actions at the operational level.Ensure products are designed with quality standards in mind and test the effectiveness and quality of products regularly.Supervising and monitoring quality project standards.Ensuring that corrective action plans are in place and followed up upon during the inspection of work.Performing time-to-time statistical analysis and improvement/savings analysis. · Defining achievable and sustainable Quality metrics that align with organization goals.Getting client feedback, attending meetings, submitting reports, and assisting auditors.Taking part in the budget planning process.Success in influencing senior leadership in moving a Quality culture forward.Hold meetings with field operations to gather detailed information about company procedures and practices with the intent to drive improvements.Attend meetings with senior management to report on and discuss quality control issues.Train Team Members to meet quality standards in all areas of the production process.Develop creative strategies for achieving high quality on complex and challenging assignments.Manage and communicate expectations based on historical performance metrics, quantitative and qualitative quality metrics, analysis, and risks to stakeholders.Responsible for managing the Quality Supplier Program in collaboration with Central Services and making support, compliance, and process change recommendations.Other:As needed, support the Operations Excellence Team Initiatives, including content development, support, rollout, and training related to Operational Excellence goals and objectives.Education, Training & QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in business administration or a relevant field is required.Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in quality control, production, or service management in a manufacturing and distribution environment. · Experience developing a Quality Management System and implementing ISO9001 and ISO45001 and continued compliance.A valid Driver’s License is required.Skills & AbilitiesThe ability to build a quality program that transforms business processes and customer experiences.In-depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards.Excellent mathematical abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.Leadership skills that influence and engage team members throughout the organization.Ability to prepare concise and informative reports that summarize key findings.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Analytical and problem-solving ability.Planning, Process Development/Improvement, and project management skills.Persistence, resilience, and the ability to influence others.Supportive and influential leadership skills.Change Management.Working ConditionsRemote role, although the role requires approximately 40% travel to visit facilities in North America.International travel is required to support the Quality Supplier Program.
