Based in Guelph, ON, this role is pivotal in driving project-related activities, from ideation through to final execution, and ensuring operational alignment in a fast-paced service industry environment.Duties & Responsibilities:Manage and oversee commercial projects spanning various functions, including Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Finance ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.Champion best practices in project management through the creation of structure, accountability, and discipline across our commercial projects while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Lead the development and implementation of project plans, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and communicate project progress and insights to stakeholders.Provide project insights, case studies, and success stories to showcase the organization's capabilities and support sales and marketing efforts.Effectively manage project budgets, resources, and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budgetary constraints.Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with departments across the organization to facilitate seamless project execution and knowledge sharing.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes, methodologies, and best practices.Proactively identify potential risks and develop risk management strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Education, Training & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Proven experience in project management within a fast-paced service industry, preferably in pet care or related sectors.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage complex problems and processes in a way all others can digest.Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive results under tight deadlines.Skills & Abilities:Project Management: Demonstrated proficiency in project management methodologies to oversee a full project from planning and development through to implementation. This includes defining project scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.Project documentation and reporting: Proficiency in documenting project requirements, specifications, and outcomes. Prepare regular progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders to track project milestones and performance metrics.Technical capabilities: Proficient in project management software Asana as well as PowerBI for reporting.Strategic planning: ability to devise a comprehensive, feasible strategy that aligns with project goals and objectives. This involves understanding requirements, evaluating project scope, and formulating an actionable plan.Resource management: Ability to gauge the resources needed, coordinate team focus and resource allocation, and ensure time is used effectively and efficiently.Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams; ability to inspire and motivate the team, resolve conflicts, and steer the project toward its objectives.Commercial expertise: Proven ability to lead revenue-generating and growth projects, understanding key revenue drivers and functions supporting top-line growth.Prioritization and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyCommunication skills: Clear, concise, and persuasive, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
