We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a team of inventory associates
  • Oversee the daily operations
  • Conduct product and order inspection to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Create daily operational tasks and assign them to team members
  • Sell books and generate additional revenue for the company
  • Perform maintenance tasks as needed to keep the warehouse and equipment in good condition
  • Hold daily team meetings to review progress and plan for the day ahead
  • Report stock levels, bugs in internal software, and incidents to the appropriate parties
  • Provide end-of-day reports to summarize the day's activities and progress
  • Manage the team's workload and set job assignments
  • Perform regular asset and warehouse maintenance and create reports
  • Train new employees and ensure they are properly onboarded
  • Train current employees on existing and new processes to improve efficiency
  • Conduct performance reviews for team members and provide feedback and coaching as needed
  • Use a forklift and pump truck to move books and other materials as needed (active forklift license required)
  • Create operational projects to improve processes and increase efficiency
  • Interview candidates for open positions and make hiring decisions
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, process improvement, and team management
  • Experience in the book industry or with book donation processing is a plus
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
