Job Description:                 Human Resources Advisor Position Reports To:        Head of Human Resources Location:                              Lindsay, ON Mariposa Dairy is a leading manufacturer of award-winning goat and sheep milk cheeses based in Lindsay, Ontario.  We provide the highest quality goat and sheep milk cheese products in North America through the efforts of our skilled and valued team for the benefit of our customers and community. The Human Resources Advisor provides advice, guidance, and hands-on support to all levels of the company on a broad range of HR services and assists with and/or leads special HR projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative HR professional to display their knowledge and experience in a rapidly growing company. Responsibilities: Work in partnership with the Head of Human Resources and Sr. HR Business Partner to deliver superior client service through day-to-day HR administrative and/or strategic support in the following areas:   Recruitment and Selection: Updates job requirements and job descriptions for all positions. Responsible for interviewing, testing, counselling, and advising hiring managers on candidate selection. Prepare offer packages and conduct new hire onboarding. Training and Development Assist Sr. HR Business Partner with delivering plant associates new hire training. Deliver orientation program for new hires. Coordinate HR Projects including, but not limited to meetings, training, surveys. Employee Engagement / Culture:   Creating and distributing company feedback engagement surveys. Responsible for recommending coordinating employee events/celebrations. Performance management:  Assist the Head of HR in guiding and coaching supervisors on performance management matters. Assist in ensuring 30/60/90 day and annual performance reviews for all employees are completed on time. Provide guidance as needed. Employee Relations: Acting as the first point of contact for employees within the business for human resources issues and questions, guiding them to the appropriate resources. Establish effective relationships at all levels based on trust, experience, and credibility by providing front-line HR consultation, advice, and guidance. Respond to employee requests, enquiries, and concerns in a timely and solution-orientation manner. Coach and support all employees in the application of HR policies, practices, and provincial employment legislation. Compliance Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource requirements, maintaining records. Updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures. Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system, keeping past and current records. Maintain employee files, including filing HR related documentation. Other:  HRIS system, ensure all information is maintained, uploaded, etc. Attend daily production meeting, provide information and bring back concerns Conduct exit interviews and facilitate the off-boarding process. Create and maintain various reports (recruitment, attendance, etc.) Provide clerical and administrative support to the Head of Human Resources. Back up support to receptionist Assist with other duties and projects as assigned. Required Knowledge and Skills: Post-secondary degree/certificate program in Human Resources Management or Business Administration, or equivalent education and/or experience. 3+ years of proven work experience in human resources. Ability to build strong trusting relationships, coach/consult and mediate conflict, maintain confidentiality, strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of relevant provincial employment acts, such as the  Human Rights Code  and the Ontario  Employment Standards Act, 2000. Ability to prioritizing and work with high level of initiative and self-motivation. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Ceridian.
