Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and Conception: Participate in the design of various components of energy production and distribution systems, including:
    • Biomass combustion systems, including flue gas cleaning.
    • Steam and condensate networks.
    • Thermal oil systems.
    • Heat exchangers.
  • Diagnosis and Problem Solving : Identify and solve technical issues related to energy systems.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure proper operation of the facilities.
  • Technical Documentation : Write technical reports and documentation related to combustion projects.
  • Compliance: Ensure that combustion systems comply with safety and environmental standards and regulations.
  • Occasional Travel: Travel occasionally to perform product performance analyses.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education : University degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or any other equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Knowledge and experience in biomass energy production systems and steam or thermal fluid distribution. Knowledge of various applicable standards, such as CSA, ASME, etc.
  • Asset : Knowledge and/or experience in the wood drying industry.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesis skills.
  • Project Management : Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
