We are a private, non-union construction company based in Ottawa, specializing in sustainable residential projects. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your carpentry skills under the guidance of experienced professionals in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities/Duties :

• Assist experienced carpenters in various construction tasks, including demolition, framing, window and door installation, siding, insulation, drywall, flooring, and cabinetry.
• Learn to read and interpret construction plans accurately.
• Aid in material take-offs and ordering.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient project execution.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Seek opportunities to expand knowledge and skills through on-the-job training.

Required Skills/Abilities :

• Minimum 2-years field experience required.
• Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the carpentry trade.
• Motivated, hardworking, reliable, and a team player.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of construction tools and materials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to following health and safety guidelines.
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle with a clean driving abstract.
