The GrandWay Lounge and Events Centre have exciting new part-time and full-time opportunities: LINE COOKS

The Line Cooks will be responsible for the preparation of high-quality North American Cuisine to support our new Lounge and Events Centre. The Line Cooks will work as a supportive team member in a high energy, friendly workplace while following all safety and sanitary procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Follows portion controls, and presentation specifications as set.
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
  • Prepare all grilled items using flat top grill.
  • Prepare food using the commercial fryer.
  • Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
  • Assist in banquet preparations when required and assist with other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Food Handlers Certification a must
  • minimum of 2 years prior kitchen line cook experience
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment such commercial fryer, deep fryer, convection oven and BBQ
  • Enthusiastically work with co-workers in a cooperative and supportive manner
  • Proactive and highly motivated
  • Available to work noon to late evening, weekends and holidays with flexible work schedules

Salary : $19.00-$23.00 per hour
