Nova Halifax have recently opened a new expansion in Halifax, NS and we are looking to expand our events team with some new local talent to join us as our new Events Assistant.

We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic Events Assistants to work with our marketing events and customer service team to produce branded client events from conception through to completion.

Day to day duties of our Events Assistant Role : As an Events Assistant your main goal will be to work with other events assistants, sales representatives and CSR's to promote and create additional brand exposure for our clients. Some of the responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing a high level of customer service and customer satisfaction
  • Meet personal/ event team sales targets through completion of a handful of sales daily at our event sites across the Halifax / Nova Scotia region
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information to give the customers the best deal possible
  • Building sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication
  • Liaise with management to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain the overall appearance, layout and design of the event
  • Cooperate with marketing and PR to promote and attract new customers to the event

To be a successful Event Assistant you need to meet the following Requirements :

  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
  • The ability to work under pressure and can problem solve
  • You're legal to work in Canada (Work Visas and Authorizations are welcome)
