Reporting to the Executive Coordinator, the Executive Assistant provides a senior level of confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Vice President - N'Doo'owe Binesi (the "VP"), Director - Communications & Government Relations (the "Director") along with specific corporate requirements to support the success of the organization. The incumbent will be part of the Executive Support Team and provide coverage as required. Reporting to the specific portfolio(s) could change in the event of restructure. Schedule flexibility is a requirement of the position and may include occasional weekend/evening work.

Qualifications : Education/Experience :

  • Post-secondary office administration diploma with a minimum of 3 years related work experience or 5 years related work experience in a healthcare setting in progressively responsible positions

  • Sound knowledge of secretarial/administrative procedures
  • Enhanced computer skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel, pdf Editor, Smartsheet, Visio and electronic mail systems
  • Knowledge of Indigenous ceremonies and traditional healing practices
  • Knowledge of Indigenous history, culture and worldview
  • Appreciation and respect of others cultural teachings and understanding and, working within a multi-faith setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interprofessional team environment

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Ability to travel to various work locations as required and provide own transportation
  • Ability to work irregular hours (requirement of the job i.e., evening or weekend public engagement or event)
  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
