Our Family Resource Network in Stettler is seeking a : Full-Time Family Facilitator

The FRN (Family Resource Network) is funded through the Childcare and Early Intervention Delivery Branch of The Ministry of Children and Family Services and has been created to provide Alberta families, children and youth aged 0-18 with evidence based and informed services. The services offered by the FRN will include child development, well-being support, caregiver capacity building support, and social connections and supports.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements :

  • A certificate or diploma in the Human Services Field and minimum 2 years human services experience (consideration will be given to those with partially completed education)
  • Proof of Membership in Professional Association (when applicable)
  • Proven record of group facilitation
  • Committed to provide common sense, understandable and useful parenting skills.
  • Standard First Aid - Level C CPR, Suicide Intervention Training & De-Escalation Training
  • Intervention Record & Criminal Record Check with the vulnerable sector
  • Class 5 Driver’s License, Clean Drivers Abstract and reliable vehicle for occasional client transportation required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous Culture considered an asset.

Responsibilities include :

  • Group facilitation of children, youth, and parents
  • Providing education to parents in the areas of a child’s physical, emotional, and social developmental milestones
  • Coaching/mentoring parents on how to achieve success in the developmental milestone stages.
  • Mentorship in the areas of emotional, behavioral & social development for youth
  • Linking families with community services
  • Working with families to engage, teach and support them in achieving their full potential with their children (ages 0 - 18 yrs.)

Wage Range : $23.25 per hour. Plus Travel Reimbursement at $0.505/KM.

Hours of work :40 hours a week. A flexible schedule is required with availability to work evenings and at minimum one Saturday a month.
