Xandar Kardian is harnessing the power of radar to disrupt healthcare with autonomous, contact-free, continuous monitoring while greatly impacting how buildings are automated and used for maximum energy efficiency & space utilization. Our company was founded in 2017 based on research that has been ongoing since 2011, making us the first organization to commercialize radar technology for use in airports, banks, correctional facilities, class A office buildings, shopping malls, long term care facilities and hospitals.

Job Overview – VP of Operations

Reporting to the CEO and working in tandem with the members of the leadership team you will work together to effectively manage and enhance the operations of Xandar Kardian. The role will lead the Project Management teams responsible for installation, field service, commissioning, production, and supply chain. This role will also act as the executive sponsor in support of the functioning and implementation of the Quality Management System.

Profile Requirements:

  • Leading and managing the team of project managers, calibration engineers, and field technicians who execute on the planning, installation, and support of Xandar Kardian solutions in the field.
  • Coordinating with the supply chain/operations lead to ensure aligned product production planning and forecasting.
  • Developing a product sourcing and manufacturing strategy evaluating both in-house and contract manufacturing options.
  • Leading the implementation of simplified implementation management processes including launch and optimization of new and existing project management, CRM, and ERP software tools.
  • As the executive sponsor, ensuring the effective implementation of Xandar Kardian’s Quality Management System (QMS) with a particular focus on post-market surveillance.
  • Establishing a network of installation partners across the US and Canada to support both large and small-scale deployments.
  • Actively managing the business’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as process cycle time, customer satisfaction, and product and installation cost.
  • Supporting all key account management processes and key client relationships working with the sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
  • Developing and managing a high-performance team culture, coaching, planning, monitoring, appraising, reviewing contributions, and determining people strategies to retain and attract top business development talents.

Requirements for the VP of Operations:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive operations experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute operational strategies that drive business growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and mitigate operational risks and challenges.
  • Familiarity with ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
