Industrial Spray Painter

Calling all industrial painters Guspro Inc has an opening in our Paint Department as a Spray Painter!

We are hiring industrial spray painters who have been in the industry for 1 year. PURPOSE OF JOB

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Performs the following duties:

• Selects appropriate paints using automated paint mixing equipment according to a pre-determined formula.
• Operates automated spray paint equipment. Paints small items and applies touch-ups using paint brushes.
• Cleans and maintains painting equipment.
• May occasionally direct others.
• Collects and transmits limited information to upper level decision making.
• Maintains and sets up limited equipment.
• Sets own pace in regard to job content and actions.
• Operates and maintains black oxide system.
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

• Must have completed high school and have 6 months - 1 year’s experience in a similar field.
• Interpersonal skills are needed to deal with a variety of contacts.
• Routine problem solving skills are essential to solve job situations.
• Must possess a co-ordination of movement and manual skills to operate various pieces of equipment.

EFFORT REQUIRED

• Job mobility is restricted by some workstation attachment and limited periods of job task concentration.
• Position entails regular lifting and repetitive motion.
• Position requires no on-going contact with person/agencies outside the plant.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Temperatures in the work environment will vary occasionally from normal comfort levels.
• Significant background noise will be a distraction in this role.
• Co-workers and management will predictably disrupt the work process.
• Regular, unobtrusive supervision will be the norm.
• Individual will be exposed to diseases related to environmental conditions, moving machinery and physical conditions.
• Some outside work may be involved.
