Forklift Operator - Night Shift

Job Summary : Come be part of our innovative and passionate team at Monte Cristo Bakery ! We are actively looking for a Shipper/Receiver.

Key Responsibilities :

• Inspect and verify incoming inventory against invoices or other documentation; check for obvious damage & shortages. Record shortages and reject damaged goods, route goods to appropriate storage areas
• Accurately stock ingredients into appropriate bins, shelves & storage racks according to standard procedures ensuring it is properly identified
• Verify orders and notify Purchasing Manager of damaged goods, backorders, and special order shipments
• Forward all Packing Slips, Waybills, Requisitions, etc, to Administration/Receiving in a timely manner
• Ensure loading dock door(s) and warehouse are secure at all times.
• Operate forklift, pallet-jack, and other aids in a safe, responsible manner. Reporting any maintenance &/or safety issues relating to these aids to Supervisor immediately
• Maintain a clean, safe, well-organized warehouse environment and notify the Supervisor of any potential safety hazards
• Assist in preparation for and participation in monthly inventory counts and pre-counts.
• Compliance with all safety standards and regulations per company policy
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

• Forklift operator certificate
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
• General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment
• Ability to make decisions based on standard practices
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, and problem solve
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Must be comfortable working in a cold environment, main warehouse is refrigerated and you will be spending a significant amount of time working in there.

Full-Time, Monday to Friday - Hours of work: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.54-$25.00 per hour
