As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial insights.Oversee various accounting functions, including Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, analyzing variances.Prepare and publish monthly financial statements.Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.Research and address technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.Support month-end and year-end close processes.Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and sales tax filings.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.Perform any other controller-related tasks as necessary.Qualifications5+ years accounting experienceThorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures.Experience in creating financial statements and managing general ledger functions.An advanced degree in Accounting is preferred.CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is a plus.Excellent skills in using accounting software and administration tools.Bilingual (French and English), preferredAdditional InformationAmerican Iron & Metal and its subsidiaries is an equal opportunity employer.
