Who we are : LANXESS is a leading specialty chemicals company with sales of EUR 6.1 billion in 2020. The Elmira facility is a state of the art production facility used to manufacture synthetic lubricants and additives for lubricants, plastics and rubber. In addition to the main production facilities we have a comprehensive wastewater treatment system that is used to treat all of the process wastewater that is generated on site, and a groundwater treatment system to remove historic contaminants prior to discharge. The Elmira site is also home to a pilot plant, which is used by our scientists and engineers to develop and test new products and production processes. What we do : Manufacture Lubricant and Specialty Additives. Our products are used to keep machinery running smoothly in food processing, manufacturing, marine, power generation and many other industries. Our Specialty Additives and lubricants are used in automotive, marine and aviation oils, transmission fluids and fuels to enhance performance and extend engine life.

Job Highlights

  • Analysis : Clearly identify business requirements and generate functional/technical specifications. Ability to estimate efforts and propose project scope, involved areas, based on deliverables.
  • Area of Responsibility : SAP SuccessFactors. This includes development, maintenance and documentation within area of responsibility.
  • Digitalization / Innovation : Design, develop, and implement technical and functional solutions that support LANXESS local / global initiatives, improvements, and processes meeting the defined requirements. Maintain documentation in accordance with local or global support, project and training methodology. Evaluate and implement periodic system / software updates.
  • Vendor Management : Works with vendors to test interfaces, systems, coordinate project work tasks, ensure receipt of any relevant knowledge transfer.
  • Support & Incident Management : Perform second-level support with business partners. Manage incident tickets related to SAP SuccessFactors and data within the area of support responsibility.
  • Projects : Contribute to the implementation of large, mid, and small-scale projects and lead department initiatives as required.

Requirements :

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 4 years of experience with global HR processes and know-how in SAP SuccessFactors including configuration.
  • Assertive personality with enjoyment of working in an intercultural team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and fluent in business English language.
  • Advanced problem resolution skills, with the ability to manage conflicting information.
  • Well-organized, self-starter and proactive.
  • Solution oriented and demonstrates the ability to “Think new” and “Act fast”.
  • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.

Preferred

  • Work experience with an international company.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • German language skills.
