Healthy Families at Accredited Supports to the Community is seeking a highly professional Practitioner for the areas of Strathmore, Chestermere, and surrounding rural communities.

ASC is a non-profit society that helps over 1500 families every year in South Central Alberta. Operating for over 50 years, ASC provides Community Disability Services, disability supports for Adults and Children Services, Parent-Child Assistance Programs, Healthy Family Services, as well as operates the Olds Bottle Depot.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform case management activities according to Healthy Families policies and procedures in a highly confidential and professional manner
  • Independently manage busy caseloads
  • Schedule and attend home visitations
  • Assist clients in setting goals and identify steps to achieve their goals
  • Identify community providers whose services are relevant to clients’ needs
  • Collect and enter data online
  • Attend and participate in weekly individual supervision with the Program Director collaborating for family/client concerns
  • A Degree or Diploma in Social Services; fields relating to child development and mental health will be considered
  • 2 years of experience working with families and children or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • A valid driver’s license, 2 million liability insurance, and reliable vehicle for travel on scheduled workdays
  • Knowledge of mental health and child development
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage without judgement with individuals and families
  • The ability to conduct interviews covering extremely sensitive and confidential issues
  • The ability to effectively problem solve in crisis situations with little supervision
  • Strong skills in organizational, time management, and teamwork
  • Expertise to prioritize work tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record and Child Intervention Record check

Salary : $23.50-$24.50 per hour
